We are inviting hardworking voluntary carers in the community along to a free ‘Big Lunch’ meal on 15th June.

In support of Carers Week and the Big Lunch 2017, we want to give something back to individuals who are providing care in the Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead areas.

Our guests will be treated to a free 5-course Indian meal at the Mango Lounge in Windsor, be able to meet other carers from the community, as well as enjoy a complimentary health and wellbeing session.

The free event is taking place between 11:45am – 2:30pm at Mango Lounge Windsor, where a 5-course banquet will be served.

Ian Rajan, founder of seakr, commented: “The work that carers put in each and every day can often go unrecognised. We want to celebrate their dedication and commitment to care whilst helping to build a carer friendly community where everyone can receive the help and support they need.”

Carers Week is an annual campaign which aims to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to society. The Big Lunch, organised by Eden Project Communities, also coincides and aims to get neighbours together to celebrate communities and connections.

Entry to the restaurant is by ticket only, and numbers will be limited, so carers are asked to contact Fiona to confirm their interest in attending. Call Fiona at seakr on 01753 373083, email helpful@ or visit @seakrcarer on Facebook.

*Places are for those who are looking after others living in Slough, Windsor or Maidenhead. Confirmation of a ticket place will be given by Monday 5th June 2017.
