Promoting care freedom since 2016
With decades of experience in Health and Social Care, our team could see that in many cases, care provision was not adequately serving the needs of carers or those in need of care. We saw the need for a fresh approach that gave all parties greater choice. In 2016, Seakr was launched.
Our business model focuses on the individuals; what they want to achieve, their personalities and their preferences. Rather than managing a team of carers and clients, we gather as much information as we can on both parties and work to find a good match. We invite carer and care seeker to meet and agree on their own terms.
The Seakr Management Team
Ian is a self-driven individual who is passionate about providing fairer conditions for carers, as this ultimately leads to higher quality care services. Having gained 25-years experience working for a healthcare business, he was determined to find a way to do things differently. He teamed up with Fiona and Seakr was born.
Fiona was a nurse, who worked her way up to the position of Hospital Director. Her remit focused on quality care provision and compliance. She had first-hand experience of how good quality care support independence. She is also aware that time pressures can prevent many carers from delivering the service they are capable of. Seakr aims to address this.
Lucy worked as a carer for many years. She has bought her industry experience to the team, providing a clear perspective on how we can better meet the needs of care providers.
Trusted Care Provider
Our quality care provision has ensured that we receive referrals from individuals, as well as:
- Slough Borough Council
- Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
- Hillingdon Council
We value the individual. As such, we actively campaign for better conditions for care workers.
